This is a "must have" book for anyone who has
a UFO library. I was tickled after I received this book, not just because of the
fact I live in Colorado and have seen UFOs in this state, but because the book
is presented in such an easy format. Short descriptions with catchy titles grab
your attention to the point where you just can't put the book down.
Preston Dennett began investigating UFOs and
the paranormal in 1986, when he discovered that his family, friends and
co-workers were having dramatic unexplained encounters. He has written 20 books
and more than 100 articles about UFOs and the paranormal. He is a field
investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
There were familiar names and especially
familiar places that made this, for me, a very delightful read. It also inspired
me to start going outside more and looking at the sky ... something I just kind
of lost interest in the last few years. I don't know why! The book has recharged
me.
I love how Dennett structured the book. The
chapters are by decade and cover sightings in Colorado from the 1960s through
2009 (a few beyond), as well as chapters on landings, onboard UFO experiences,
crash retrievals, cattle mutilations, and a few current encounters. A lot
occurred in the San Luis Valley, especially the cattle mutilations.
Among the many fascinating cases, I find the
Stan Romanek incidents to be most outstanding. I once heard Stan speak at a
conference, in which he showed footage taken in which an actual ET (a Gray)
appeared. There are so many other cases, and it's great having them all in one
volume. Five Stars!!
