LETTER TO THE EDITOR
                                 
Dear Ann,
         I read with fascination about Niara Isley regarding her experiences during her time in the military, including her ET “contact”/examination done by/in-cooperation with... the US military.
         I also went to her Web site. She is a very bright woman. She has a very good overall grasp of the topic of “ET contact.” And her thoughts and feelings about how full ET contact disclosure might help our own race by us being able to use clean energies and technologies that could work in harmony with/and in the best interests of the future of this beautiful planet.
         Niara’s thoughts and feelings echo many of my own... as I’m sure those of many others. In one of her blogs she said, and I’m paraphrasing here: “...the people of this planet have a need to know, a right to know... about U.S. secrecy in government, and the matter of extraterrestrial contact.”
         Ann, I know from many, many conversations with Bob Dean over the years, he himself has said, verbatim, “...the people of this planet have a right to know, and a need to know” (about the reality of extraterrestrial life). However, even today, Bob wonders out loud whether we as a race are ready for “full disclosure” of this matter of ET contact.
         Bob has also followed by saying that when we are ready “...we can then start thinking of ourselves as one race, one people, from one little tiny planet... and we must go into the 21st century, and the universe, together.”
         In the “Cosmic — Top Secret” paper that Bob Dean read in early 1960s, it indicated our own (US) government was aware of at least 4-5 separate races that were visiting our planet, even back then. Further, he’s also said many times that, at that time, “...the ones (the ETs) the generals and admirals were concerned about the most were the ones that looked just like us... so much so that if you walked into a McDonalds or Burger King and sat down to have something to eat, and one of them (the ETs) were sitting right next to you... you wouldn’t even know it.”
         There were so many points that Niara made in that article, and in her other articles, that have been echoed over recent time (say from the mid-1980s forward), and stated by many of the credible people in this (UFO/ET) field of study... from Whitley Strieber, Steven Greer, Wendelle Stevens, Bill Hamilton, and Niara.
         Ann, one perspective of this topic is about the study of other sentient, intelligent life that exists in outer space, outside our solar system, and certainly sometimes outside the normal vibration of our own known Universe. There is certainly enough evidence from a variety of literary sources over the known history of Humanity to indicate we have been visited on this planet by a variety of other intelligent races… for a long, long time.
         We may not be the same. We may not look the same. We may not live the same. We certainly may not eat/ingest the same kind of foods. But some things are consistent: They are living beings, sentient intelligent life. And though they don’t exactly look like us, they are intelligent. They have advanced technology to travel incredible distances through outer space. They have a head, eyes, mouth... two arms, two legs... and a right to thrive in this Universe. There’s a good chance they are certainly more evolved than us in many ways, including emotionally, socially, intellectually, spiritually... and technologically. Hell, we still have wars going on between us... on this one planet.
         In a conversation I was having with Wendelle Stevens a few years ago (who has authored and published at least 26 books on Earth Humans... who have had contact with at least that many other intelligent races), I asked him this simple question: Wendelle, why is it all these various races keep visiting Earth, why us... why this planet?
         Here was his answer, he said: “Chris, Earth is like a lab for them, it’s an incredible place to study. Most of these visitors come from worlds where there is only one race on their planet. Consider the Earth. There are at least four races of humanity, Caucasian, African, Asian, and the Native American Indians... all living on the same planet. “Consider the diversity of this planet, the multitude of animals, the incredible variety of plant life, insects, fish in the ocean... it’s amazing how much diversity we have on this one planet, Earth. This is why we’re so special. This is why they like visiting us: our diversity. There are all sorts of visitors that come here. Some are explorers. Some are social scientists. Some are geologists... they need some of our minerals. Some, their species is dying out... they need access to our human genes.
         “And, some of them... they want to see if we can make it, peacefully, all on one planet. We were seeded, you know, by different space-faring societies. It’s our diversity. They like to study us. Where else can they find so much diversity all on one planet.” That was Wendelle’s answer.
         Another perspective on this topic…. is not about them.
         It’s really about us. When are we, when is humanity on this planet, going to grow up enough... socially, emotionally, spiritually... so that we as a planet can join the greater society of planets that exists in the Cosmos? With all of those 400 million stars that could support life that Carl Sagan was talking about. When?
         I have a sense the vast majority of humans on this planet, at this point in time, need to consider something: enough is enough. As one race, the human race on this planet Earth, we need to stop fighting, stop killing each other, start respecting each other’s differences, allow for them, and grow up. We need to stop acting like irresponsible, emotionally unaware and self-centered, bratty children. We need to become emotionally and spiritually aware... responsible adults. And we have to take better care of our planet’s resources. That is, if we’re ever to join a greater galactic society of humanity that exists in the Cosmos.
         Ann, its my sense they won’t show themselves openly... until we’re ready. It’s that simple. That’s the deal.
         As for their technologies, we’ve actually already been using some ET technologies over the years, though we as a society generally don’t know it. And/or we’ve been using at least re-engineered versions of them, since the first public crash, Roswell in 1947. (In the book, The Day After Roswell by now deceased Colonel Philip Corso, he was assigned to Roswell for the ‘clean-up’ operation... he tells about the various companies those technologies went to, their evolution, and how they help us today.) That Roswell crash written about and published in their local newspaper... that crash was only one of a few crashes in that area during that time.
         Ann, in closing, it’s up to people like us to help others, those who are less informed, and un-enlightened, who are far less aware of all the dynamics. It’s up to us to inform, enlighten and educate them... so that someday open disclosure and contact can become a reality. I believe, the more we educate and enlighten, the sooner a broader, open, ET contact on this planet can take place. I don’t think that we’re that far off really. But, first we’ve got to grow-up, the sooner the better.
