It's a Beautiful Day
Mood:  bright
Topic: Life is a gift
Don't you love it when you wake up to a sunny new day? This is Indian Summer in western Colorado, and we treasure these last cherished days before winter sets in.

This morning I went with my husband and our dog to the mountains, where it had snowed, to cut a load of firewood for the winter. The aspen trees were stark naked against a crystal blue sky -- it was AWESOME!!

It just felt so wonderful to be alive and to dwell in peaceful surroundings, especially after such a challenging week in which many of us were in shock over the presidential election.

When you feel yourself getting too involved in Earth's negative side... escape to a beautiful place. There are still lovely places to visit on this planet, if you seek them out. We are so lucky to have it right in our own backyard.

Let's pray that Light and Love can overcome those who would exploit our beautiful environment for reasons of greed and prestige for themselves. We must do our part to ensure these special places on our planet, where we can nurture our souls, will continue to exist.
