DISC-USSION |
by Anne Miller
UFO sightings increase
On Saturday, Jan. 12, about 45 minutes after midnight, a woman from Redlands Mesa, near Hotchkiss, Colo., got out of bed to put more wood in her heating stove. She saw outside her window an orange light that was moving in the northeast sky over Redlands Mesa, near Green Mountain. Thinking it was only an airplane, she continued to put wood in her stove. A few minutes later, when she looked again, she saw the object heading east, toward Paonia. It turned into a silver ball and then suddenly exploded with yellow streamers coming out of it. The object then completely vanished with the explosion. She recalls there was no vibration and no sound.
A multiple sighting occurred over Seville, Spain on Tuesday, Jan. 8 (at 15:15). A multitude of drivers along Seville’s Route S-30, in the vicinity of Montquinto, saw a UFO which was cylindrical in shape, with two whitish lights in its "bow" and "stern" respectively. Its overall aspect was metallic and wingless, with only a protuberance visible on its nose (comparison is made to the Concorde jet) and two further protuberances seen on its aft section. The object traveled in a constant direction toward downtown Seville, and although the day was overcast, it flew at such low altitude that it was perfectly visible. Its size was judged to be roughly that of a twin-propeller military helicopter. The proportion of this object is relative, since there were no perpendicular objects (except for the clouds) with which to estimate its dimensions.

Sightings in Malaysia have doubled in the past year, according to a story filed Jan. 7 by translator Scott Corrales. One man claims he was abducted for 11 days after meeting a square-headed alien. The Centre for Malaysian UFO Studies says six sightings were reported in Sabah, two in Kedah, and the other in Penang. Of the abduction in February, he told The Star: "This could be the first reported UFO abduction in Malaysia. Although the 11-day period was a little odd, as most UFO abduction victims usually go missing for two to three hours or up to five days only. The fact that there were some UFO activities around Kota Kinabalu at that time could lend some credence to the claim." Ahmad, who has studied UFOs since 1978, says his research on the phenomenon shows there is a link between the UFO sightings and Earth’s seismic activity. "Gravitational forces emitted by objects in space cause the Earth’s fault lines to shake," he said, "causing earthquakes and, at the same time, act as a guide for UFOs to reach Earth."

Love and Light Conference
Yes! There’s going to be a 4th annual Love and Light Conference. But we’ve moved it from the first weekend in August to the weekend following Labor Day, Sept. 6-8, at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss, Colo. This gives us a little more time to plan and make this lightworkers’ conference better than ever. Plus it’s cooler in September!
Although unconfirmed at this time, author Phillip Krapf, a retired mainstream journalist, has agreed to be our main speaker. Phillip was twice taken aboard the space ship of the Verdants (the name he gave his contacts) and was asked to write the "white paper" that would announce a summit between the space people and our world leaders. His two books, The Contact Has Begun and The Challenge of Contact
, are excellent reports which took a lot of courage to publish, both on Phillip’s part and the publisher. We hope that we will be able to bring Phillip’s important message of hope for humankind to western Colorado in September.
Area 51 workers go on strike
Security guards at mysterious Area 51, 90 miles north of Las Vegas, are on strike. According to the manager of a bookstore, Aliens on Earth, an anonymous tip over the phone declared: "The camo dudes (who patrol the Groom Lake base) are on strike." The guards say they've worked nothing but overtime since Sept. 11, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
When Mother Earth jiggles...
Willy Whitefeather of Tucson, Ariz., writes interesting, illustrated letters that cause one to ponder and look for the deeper meaning of what’s happening in these times. For example, he says, "When Mother Earth jiggles, tipis giggle. The Great Turtle Island shakes."
He writes: "Osiyo and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. In my travels I have met many who have lost their jobs - 75,000 people were laid off in Las Vegas alone since the W.T.C. and Pentagon attack. There is a song that goes: When the Land is Dark, and the Moon, is the Only Light that you can see, Well I won’t Be Afraid, as Long as you Stand By Me. I believe the Moon is giving warning. On Sept. 2, 2001, the Moon eclipsed. Nine days later, the W.T.C. attack. The Moon in Spanish is Luna. In Cherokee it is MO - in Latin MO is Modus Operandi. In English it’s ‘The Way It Is.’ For peace for the kids - Willy."
