Mothership passes over couple's car near Pagosa Springs |

A young woman in her 20s, whose parents I know fairly well, told me about a dramatic UFO sighting that occurred very recently in southern Colorado. She and her boyfriend wish to keep their identities unknown.
The event occurred on April 4. The woman and her boyfriend were driving home from Durango, Colo., to Pagosa Springs. It was between 9:30 and 10:00 when they saw a huge ball of light that was gigantic, in the north over the San Juan Mountains. This was about 15 or 20 minutes outside of Pagosa Springs, near the Chimney Rock turnoff.
They both watched it, although the man was busy driving. The woman said it was terribly bright, so much that they found it difficult to keep their eyes on it for very long. It stayed in one spot for about five minutes. It appeared to be a huge disc with an incredibly bright light.
"We were trying to figure out what it was," the woman said. "We thought it was really big -- at least the size of a football field." From the distance they were watching it, the object appeared twice as large as a full moon. Compared to a normal airplane, it was many times as large.
"Other car lights were coming at us," explained the woman, "and as soon as we saw headlights, it (the UFO) would turn into something like a plane’s lights blinking." She said it was almost as though the UFO were trying to disguise itself. The strange thing was, no car ever passed them on the highway. "We never saw what happened to the cars. We felt like we were on the highway by ourselves. We watched it at least 10 or 15 minutes while driving."
She said they didn’t pull over, but just kept driving. Both of them kept getting surges of weird energy. "It was like huge rushes the whole time we saw it. We felt really weird. It was so powerful, I was almost crying. (The UFO) was kind of greenish-blue with red lights on it," the woman added. "And there were little ships hovering above and below it."
The object approached and flew right over their car. "I could see hundreds and hundreds of windows on it," said the woman. "And then it just moved on, and we didn’t see it anymore." When they got home, even though they were tired, they sat up and talked about it. The next day she called her parents and told them about the sighting.
I asked if there had been any missing time, but she said no, they got home at the time they expected. However, there was one incident worth mentioning. The woman had been pregnant, and just a few days after the sighting she experienced a miscarriage. Whether the miscarriage was due to the energy surges during the sighting or something completely unrelated is not known.
