Thank
you for all who participated in The Star Beacon's 20th anniversary
photo contest last month. We had some wonderful entries. Following are the
winners and their spectacular photos!
BEST UFO
First
place goes to Sheri Gould of Buffalo, Wyo., for this photo of
a "cloud ship" which appeared a few years ago in an article in
The Star Beacon. Congratulations, Sheri! You are the recipient
of first prize, an original handcrafted ET doll from Commander Sanni
Ceto.
Second place winner in the "Best UFO" category goes to
Richard Howdeshell of Cedaredge, Colo. This photo, titled "Big
Mother," was taken while he was leaving Crestone, and hovered just
above the Sangre de Cristo mountains, back in 2003. Congratulations,
Richard! You are the recipient of a one-year subscription to The
Star Beacon.
MOST INTRIGUING
First
place in the "Most Intriguing" category goes to John Christian of
Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, of his photograph taken at Bell Rock
Vortex near Sedona, Ariz., on Oct. 31, 1999.
He explains, "It was
mid afternoon when the photo was taken, with a fully automatic,
zoom-type camera. Nothing unusual was noticed at that time by any of
us. There were strong forces working there that day. Perhaps the
Reiki attracted their attention, perhaps the meditations we did just
before the photo was taken was a factor, I don’t know, but the
photograph of which I am speaking is the one used on the cover of my
book, Reiki and Spiritual Growth. We titled the photo, ‘Spirit at
Bell Rock.’ I think appropriately.”
Following are some comments about the photograph from the named
individuals as they held and examined it.
George B.( Nov. 14, 1999): “It’s a male and female ‘team’. Could be
grandmother/grandfather. Native American feeling. I’ve never seen
anything like it. I’m getting chills. I’m getting a name: Ma-key-sa-la
and Ta-kesh-la (phonetic pronunciations). You might want to share
this.”
Sue Y. (Nov. 19, 1999): “It’s an incredible female energy. I feel
the energy rushing from my head, through my whole body and out the
soles of my feet. She’s a strong healer. She’s blessing you. I can
see her — she has a beautiful face and long, dark hair. There’s a
wolf by her, a totem or part of her. She heals through ecstasy. When
she was a baby, there was an accident and she had a near death
experience. She was dropped in the water and drowned. She became
able to communicate with spirits and extraterrestrials. The photo is
healing me (Sue). It’s opening my foot chakras. She is so beautiful;
she has the sweetest, kindest face. This is deliberate, a healing
picture. ‘I gladly give it to you. Give it to as many as possible.’
She likes Reiki, giving people Light.”
[Question: John attuned my friend to Reiki on the mountain. Did that
have anything to do with her coming?] Answer: Yes. “Others have seen
her. She belonged to a local tribe, but people from other tribes
came to her because of her power. Could be 1,000 years ago. It was
about 830-834 years ago when she passed (into spirit). I’d like some
copies to make available, at cost, to people coming into the shop.
This is too important to make money.”
Congratulations on winning first place, John. You will be receiving
a special Earth Star custom made T-shirt of your choice and size, as
well as a gift certificate for The Star Beacon, either for yourself
or to give to someone else.
Taking second place is this fascinating
photo taken by Emma O’Brian from Port Angeles, Washington, last
February.
One night, she awoke with the compulsion to go outside
with her camera, and she saw these lights in the sky that reminded
her of an aurora, only she isn’t sure what they were. (The photo has
been enhanced for print purposes.)
Congratulations, Emma! You win a year’s subscription to
TSB.
There were no official entries for “Funniest Picture,” but the
following entry was in a classification by itself, so I decided to
give it its own category...
MOST
GHOSTLY PHOTO
And the winner of this gem is Polly Cady of Grand
Junction, Colo. She wrote, “Here is a picture of my daughter and
granddaughter on Thanksgiving. Shortly before this, her grandfather,
on her dad’s side, died. He’s even posing.”
Polly wins a year’s subscription to The Star Beacon
and a custom made T-shirt from Earth Star.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
The following pictures get honorable mention.
To the right is a
photo taken of a UFO (look to the right of the chemtrail), by
Marcellina Beckwith (Sanni Ceto) of Paonia, Colo. This photo
appears in her book, Zeti Child.
Below is
another one of Sheri Gould’s “cloudships.”

HUMOR
Hartmut Jager, an artist from Australia, sent me these clever
renditions of humor when I told him no one had entered a “funniest
picture.” I thought I’d include them here for your amusement.
