Why Shift Happens |
from the October 2006 Star Beacon
by Jean-Claude Gerard Koven
Our entire solar system
has entered a highly charged portion of space that is triggering a
complete reordering of life as we know it. Here’s an inside look
at the most significant shift in the history of this planet.
By and large, humanity holds a
remarkably provincial view of its own existence. Most of us
consider ourselves members of a relatively unique species living
on a unique little planet and expect, when we die, to receive our
just desserts at the hand of a loving albeit judgmental god. We
hardly ever consider ourselves part of a larger mosaic — a vast
plan of cosmic evolution that has a far grander purpose.
Should we step back to consider
a broader view, we’d see that there have been several moments in
our species’ development that were marked by sudden and unexpected
turns — the advent of pair bonding, the beginning of language, and
the emergence of abstract thought being a few prime examples.
Although some scientists have attributed these transitions to the
gradual processes of natural selection, others, such as William H.
Calvin, author of A Brain for All Seasons: Human Evolution and
Abrupt Climate Change,1 have argued that the abruptness with
which these new behaviors appeared suggests that they were more
likely linked with sudden planetary shifts, such as a worldwide
cooling trend. Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke depicted the
sudden nature of these shifts in human consciousness
metaphorically as the interventions of a colossal rectangular
monolith in their 1968 groundbreaking film, 2001: A Space Odyssey.
It seems that we are, as it
were, on the verge of encountering another of these monolithic
jump-time markers. The Earth, together with its inhabitants, is in
the throes of the greatest shift it has yet experienced. According
to researchers Patrick Geryl and Gino Ratinckx, co-authors of The
Orion Prophesy,2 the occurrence and timing of this event were
known in the days of Atlantis (which they claim is currently
buried beneath the South Pole). It was also predicted by the
Egyptians, the Mayans, the Hopi, and other indigenous peoples.
Wouldn’t it be illuminating to know what these people saw?
If we hopped a ride on a
spaceship and traveled to some point in our star system where we
could turn around and take an astronomic snapshot of home, we
would see that the Earth is one of nine planets (eight, if you
discount Pluto; 10, if you include Chiron) in a solar system
situated on a far-flung arm of a galaxy — the Milky Way — that
contains somewhere between 200 and 400 billion stars. And if we
put that freeze-frame image into fast forward, we’d see that the
entire galaxy is engaged in a vast circular dance.
Just as the moon circles the Earth and all the planets circle the
Sun, so does our Sun and its planets orbit the central sun of our
galaxy on a radius 26,000 light-years in length — that’s
152,770,186,335,403,700 miles. According to recent measurements,
it takes our solar system about 226,000,000 years to complete a
single rotation, traveling at 486,000 miles per hour — or 135
miles per second.3 To put that in perspective, a jet plane
traveling at that speed would cover the 8,054 miles between New
York and Hong Kong in less than a minute.
From our cosmic vantage point we would also see that space is not
an empty vacuum, nor is it homogeneous. It is full of cosmic rays
of all manner and description — a swirling soup of gamma, radio,
electromagnetic, and gravitational waves along with a slew of
particles such as protons, alpha particles, electrons, neutrinos,
and a host of others yet to be named that burst, radiate, and
pulsate throughout the universe. While some of these phenomena
move out in all directions, like the light of a light bulb, others
are directional, like the beam of a flashlight. It is one of these
apparently directional emissions, popularly called the Photon
Belt, that is of particular interest at this time.
There is considerable disinformation concerning the Photon Belt,
much of it arising from channeled information and from Alice
Bailey’s earlier writings, which describe it as an energetic ring
encircling the Pleiades. An arguably more accurate description is
provided by Dr. Paul LaViolette, author of Genesis of the Cosmos
and Earth under Fire, who proposes that the Belt is like a
galactic “superwave” and that highly charged emissions of its kind
have triggered historical cataclysmic events on our planet4 — not
unlike the monoliths depicted by Clarke and Kubrick. You might
think of the galaxy as a large clock with the stars rotating
through pulses of energy beams radiating from the central sun.
Every beam is like a tiny sliver of a gigantic pie, each having a
particular mix of cosmic emissions that has a direct effect on
whatever passes through it. The Photon Belt/Galactic Superwave (PBGS)
is one of these slivers.
A super-aware being, such as a
shaman in an altered state — someone who can assume a point of
view outside of the space/time continuum — is able to see events
as simultaneous rather than sequential. Thus even if he or she
lived many years ago, that seer could perceive the Earth moving
through the PBGS and note the changes it might trigger, much the
way astrological and earthly events can be simulated with
computers by today’s scientists. Reports of these possibilities
have been preserved both in reference to Earth calendars and in
terms of astronomical events, such as the precise alignment of the
solar and galactic planes with the winter solstice.
As with all projections into
the future, the exact date of the predicted crescendo of the
impending shift represents a probability rather than a certainty.
However, we are apparently already well into the active region of
the PBGS, and dramatic changes are occurring not only on our
planet but on every planet in the solar system.
Both author, lecturer, and
clairvoyant David Wilcock and Russian scientist Aleskey Dmitriev
have collected scientific data from NASA and other sources that
document the observable, dramatic shifts currently taking place on
every single planet in our solar system (for more details about
these changes, see Transformation of the Solar System5 by
Aleskey Dmitriev and the Hyperdimensional Report6 by Wilcock and
Richard C. Hoagland):
Sun: More activity in
the past 65 years than in the previous 1,150 years combined.
Mercury: Polar ice
discovered, along with a strong intrinsic magnetic field —
surprising for a supposedly dead planet.
Venus: In less than 30
years, a 2,500 percent increase in auroral brightness as well as
substantive global atmospheric changes (a sharp decrease of
sulphur-containing gases). The inversion of light and dark spots —
the first time ever detected.
Moon: The generation of
a first-stage atmosphere, with a growing natrium atmosphere
reaching to 9,000 km in height.
Mars: “Global warming,” huge storms, disappearance of polar
icecaps, a cloudy growth in the equator area, and an unusual
increase of ozone concentration.
Jupiter: A more than 200
percent increase in the brightness of surrounding plasma clouds.
Doubling of the magnetic field’s intensity, large auroral
anomalies, and a change in the Jupiter-Io system of currents.
Saturn: A major decrease
in equatorial jet stream velocities in only 20 years, accompanied
by a surprising surge of X-rays from the equator. The appearance
of auroras.
Uranus: “Really big, big
changes” in brightness, increased global cloud activity (abrupt
large-scale growth of magnetosphere activity), and significant
shifting of the magnetic poles.
Neptune: A 40 percent
increase in atmospheric brightness and a significant shifting of
the magnetic poles.
Pluto: A 300 percent
increase in atmospheric pressure even as Pluto recedes farther
from the Sun. The growth of dark spots.
For our own home planet the
list of changes currently under way is no less impressive. The
Earth is experiencing an accelerating magnetic drift;7 the North
Pole having already wandered some 1,100 kilometers out into the
Arctic Ocean. We are also witnessing significant variations in the
Earth’s gravity field,8. climactic change,9 increased volcanic10
and tectonic11 activity, and other natural catastrophes (for an
in-depth view of these changes on Earth, see Wilcock’s The
Divine Cosmos: A Breathtaking New View of Reality12 and
Dmitriev’s Planetophysical State of the Earth and Life13).
The passage through the PBGS
turns out to be an inconvenient truth of the highest order. It
explains, for instance, why natural catastrophes and global
warming are occurring on the Earth at such an alarming rate and
why humankind’s efforts to reverse the process are about as
effective as making a one-dollar contribution to the Gates
Foundation. It offers a quasi-scientific explanation for why so
many of us are feeling uncomfortable with the state of our lives
and dissatisfied with our belief systems. It provides a reason for
the gnawing apprehension many feel that something dramatic is
happening all around us.
This is myth-shattering stuff.
As Dmitriev notes, “We must begin to organize our attention and
thinking to understand that climatic changes on Earth are only one
part, or link, in a whole chain of events taking place in the
heliosphere [the magnetic field that emanates from the Sun
extending throughout the entire solar system and beyond].”
Yet these discoveries do not
make the six o’clock news. If they did, they would marginalize the
importance of almost every other story, and they would reveal that
the institutions to which people have long ago abdicated their
power are woefully impotent to do anything about what’s really
taking place. The powers that be are less than forthcoming in
either addressing these momentous issues or making them known to
the general public. Quite the contrary. The 2004 movie The Day
after Tomorrow, which depicted cataclysmic changes as a result of
the sudden collapse of the Gulf Stream oceanic current — while
taking certain liberties with respect to timelines and dramatic
effects — is stunningly accurate. Notably, the New York Times
published a story the same year titled NASA Curbs Comments on
Ice Age Disaster Movie. 14
“No one from NASA is to do interviews or otherwise comment on
anything having to do with the film (The Day After Tomorrow),”
said the April 1 message, which was sent by Goddard’s [NASA’s
Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland] top press officer.
“Any news media wanting to discuss science fiction vs. science
fact about climate change will need to seek comment from
individuals or organizations not associated with NASA.”
According to the Observer International Web site,15 U.S. President
George W. Bush received a clandestine report from the Pentagon
describing the reality of imminent climate changes that echoed
much of the film’s message. The Web site article reads:
Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global
catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural
disasters.
A secret report, suppressed by US defense chiefs and obtained by
The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk
beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a “Siberian”
climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and
widespread rioting will erupt across the world.
The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the
planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear
threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy
supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of
terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.
According to another story16 published on the Observer
International Web site, Greg Cist, the Republican House Conference
director, also in 2004, sent an e-mail to the press secretaries of
Republican congressmen advising them on how to render changes in
the global environment a non-issue. The Web article says:
It [the e-mail]
tells them how global warming has not been proved,
air quality is “getting better,” the world’s forests are
“spreading, not deadening,” oil reserves are “increasing, not
decreasing,” and the “world’s water is cleaner and reaching more
people.”
The e-mail — sent on 4 February — warns that Democrats will “hit
us hard” on the environment. “In an effort to help your members
fight back, as well as be aggressive on the issue, we have
prepared the following set of talking points on where the
environment really stands today,” it states.
The memo — headed “From medi-scare to air-scare” — goes on: “From
the heated debate on global warming to the hot air on forests;
from the muddled talk on our nation’s waters to the convolution on
air pollution, we are fighting a battle of fact against fiction on
the environment — Republicans can’t stress enough that extremists
are screaming ‘Doomsday!’ when the environment is actually seeing
a new and better day.”
To those who believe there is room for valid scientific debate on
the issues of global warming and Earth changes, there is little to
say in response to such damping down of information other than to
agree that we each have a right to believe whatever gives us
comfort. In the end, the facts always speak for themselves and all
beliefs are washed away before them. The main issue is the
magnitude of what’s happening and how it’s already affecting every
object in our solar system, including each human being on this
planet. Geologists and other scientists confirm that major shifts
have happened every now and then to the Earth and her inhabitants.
We seem to be in one of those “nows.”
To understand why shift happens, we need only to refer to Newton’s
first law, the law of inertia: “An object at rest or traveling in
uniform motion will remain at rest or traveling in uniform motion
unless and until an external force is applied.” The PBGS is
applying the force, and the solar system and all its elements are
responding. The lower life forms are as a matter of course
transformed by these energies. But we humans have been given the
gift of free choice. Consequently, we cannot make the shift unless
we take deliberate and considered action.
How we choose to react to these forces emanating from the central
sun of our galaxy is undoubtedly the single most important
decision of our lives. Yet humans are subject to the law of
inertia as well. For the most part, we resist change unless
prompted to shift by pain or suffering. And our ability to adjust
to incremental levels of suffering seems to know no limits. We are
currently mired in a morass of events that threaten our physical,
emotional, and spiritual well-being, yet we still find a way to
put on our brave faces and carry on as if nothing is happening.
The forces we are all
experiencing are real, far more real than death or taxes. They are
occurring not to destroy us but to prompt us to shift to a new
level of development. We are being invited to shift along with
mother Earth and her sister planets. Our bodies feel it, our sleep
patterns reflect it, our thoughts are driven by it, and our
awakening consciousness demands that we resonate with it. We are
each caught in a compelling current that we can ultimately either
resist or join. If we choose to join and ride it, we become
willing participants in our own transformation into a higher state
of being.
Consider it this way: We each
consciously chose to be on this planet at this time so we could
take part in this extraordinary cosmic event. To duck it would be
to miss everything we came here for.
