Divine Time

          “There is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven. A time to be born, a time to die...”
          Everything occurs in divine time. We need only to “Let go and let God.” For most of us, patience is a sought-after virtue. We want things NOW!
          In this culture and society, we have many avenues for instant gratification. If we want something, it is often at the tips of our fingers. We can order off the Internet and have it delivered the next day. We can hop into our cars and drive to the store. We don’t even have to get off the couch to change the television channel.
          When we can’t have what we want immediately, it can turn into anger, frustration and blocked energy! Ironically, what we resist and try to force into manifestation only hinders the energy flow and delays our creations. This energy can also, as I have recently learned, manifest into things we weren’t exactly planning on!
          I am currently in a relationship with a wonderful man. This relationship is the best thing that I have ever experienced. I want, with all my heart, to leave my job and move to his town to live with him full time. The problem is that this is a future reality whose time has not yet come. It is not time for me to release my job or to release my present living arrangements. I, in my impatience, am trying to release too soon.
          As we know, thoughts are energy. This energy permeates and affects every single cell of the physical body. Often illness can result from this thought energy which has become trapped within the body. This is exactly what I have manifested. My physical body has been releasing, and releasing AND releasing! Without going into the gory details, water is about all that my digestive system can absorb. I was perplexed as to why this condition had fallen upon me. My spirit guide gently reminded me that in my attempt to release too soon, my body was carrying out the order in the only way it knew how! WOOPS!
          It is always good to release and let go of things that no longer serve you. Change, after all, is growth. The key here is in discernment. It is important to look for and recognize the signs that the time has come. Those signs are always there and are quite obvious if we only become aware. I am reminded of the scene in Bruce Almighty when Bruce asked God for a sign. Suddenly he found himself driving in back of a truck carrying hundreds of signs! The signs said things like “caution,” “danger,” and “Do not enter.” Bruce was not yet aware and did not heed the signs. Needless to say, Bruce ended up taking a “wrong turn.”
          So... Time to change my thoughts. Time to be in gratitude for this wonderful relationship, my job, and the house that I share with my Dad. Time to place the future in God’s hands and know that all is in divine order. Everything will manifest in divine time.
