The Meaning of It All

An article from the April 2018 issue of THE STAR BEACON.
What? Spring? Already!
What
happened to winter? Where did all the time go? I was going to start some
long-awaited projects this winter. But … all of a sudden, the Spring Equinox
arrived … with a bang! Such intense energies, too … and so much going on in the
world ... and within ourselves.
Here in Colorado, it's almost as though we
didn't have winter. Where is the snow? The skiers got cheated this year. I'm
kind of frightened about fire danger next summer, and whether there is going to
be enough groundwater to nourish the plant life.
It just didn't seem natural to have only one day this winter in which I drove my
50-minute commute to my three-day-a-week job on "sort-of" icy roads. Then again,
I never liked icy roads to begin with.
Well, I'm pretty sure the earth changes
must be in effect. Long predicted, we were told about the climate changing and
the shift of seasons decades ago. Intuitives testified to the fact that weather
patterns would change drastically, and that places with traditionally moderate
weather patterns would see drastic storms. Other places that are dry would see
moisture, and arid areas lots of rain (or snow).
Many
years ago, Lori Toye, a spiritual map maker, came up with the "I Am America" map
showing her idea of what our country will one day look like. Whether she is
right remains to be seen.
I
don't think we've seen it all yet. In fact, I think we're just tapping the
surface of the changes our planet has yet to go through. After all, it's a lot
like "change of life" or menopause in your later years, where you have hot
flashes, mood swings, emotional turmoil and your looks change. At first glance,
that's no fun.
On
the other hand, change is imminent … in everything, and in everyone. Nothing
could be worse than stagnation. Earth is in the stages of her Ascension, and we
are privileged to be here at this phenomenal time, to witness and to experience
it.
It
may seem like a lot of nasty events and upsets are occurring right now, as
evidenced by politics, crazy people running rampant, morals gone awry … you name
it. But it's all part of the game, and part of the reason we all agreed to be
born at this time.
We
should make every day count. It used to be that I believed I had my whole life
ahead of me to do the things I wanted to accomplish, but had put off. Now that
I've missed yet another winter to get stuff done that I want to do … such as
getting back into art, making some music recordings, writing more memoirs … I'm
seeing that if I want to get anything accomplished, I'd better forget about next
year and concentrate on the Now.
Really,
is there anything else except Now? Not really. Now is always here … and there's
no better time than Now to enjoy what it is we really want to do.
Because,
after all, who knows when Mother Earth is going to finally reach that level we
all think she is striving for? She is not a procrastinator, but She has been
around a long, long time.
Let's
forget about the future and just embrace the Eternal Now.
