British author Cassandra Eason came
out with a cute little hardback book of magic spells, whose premise is that you
can make anything happen in your everyday life.
"Lighting a candle, chanting a
simple but powerful rhyme to stir the energies in your favor, or make a swirl
and twirl of an incense stick, and you can instantly make life much more the way
you want it and attract the right opportunities, as bad luck and people vanish
with a zap." Well, if it only were that easy!
The book includes 366 spells, and the
rituals range from conjuring up money, to obtaining love, to selling your house
in a sluggish economy, to healing someone, or to make it easier to meet a
deadline. There are even some humorous ones, such as the spell to “wipe nasty
communications from your mind,” or “breaking a hex or curse.” The book is fun to
browse, and who knows ... you might find just the spell to help you with a
problem.

If you’re into Orbs ... and who isn’t? ...
this "magazine size" colorful book has some fantastic color photographs
featuring Orbs -- those translucent globs of light that occasionally appear on
photos you've taken with your digital camera. I know, because I have a folder
full of Orb photos.
Throughout history, people have struggled
to make sense of what happens to the human soul after death, where it goes, and
what form it takes.
Inspired to learn about transition after
the passing of a dear family member, Elise and Julene, who are mother and
daughter, wrote Orbs, illustrated with very colorful photos they took of
actual orbs. The book is about staying connected to loved ones who have passed,
using spirituality to get through the grieving process, and most importantly,
life after death.
"We believe that the presence of orbs is a
verification of life after death," says Julene. "Communicating with these orbs
was a way for us to grieve."
Their hope with this book is to reveal to
others what they learned. The book includes instructions on how anyone can
summon orbs and photograph them, and the nature of these metaphysical phenomena.
Julene was born in Watertown, S.D., and
grew up with two sisters and two brothers. She was raised in a very traditional
Lutheran home. Since losing her husband, she became very spiritual and completed
Reiki level I. She has four daughters and 15 grandchildren. After retirement,
she had more time to follow her dream of writing.
Elise Lowers, born in St, Paul, Minn., was
the oldest child of four girls, but spent most of her childhood in Montana. She
had a lot of responsibility after her mother had to go to work to support the
family.
She knew at a very early age that she was
different than other children -- in that she saw spirits. She closed the door
for many years, and just recently opened it to try to hear her "Papa Tom." Elise
has a strong gift and also has an amazing way with Reiki. She is the mother of
10 children and her interests include photography, riding horses, reading and
showing her children how to have fun without spending a lot of money. She is
also very spiritual. There are many stories that she wants to tell, but the Orbs
book is very special to her.
Presently, Elise lives in St. Ansgar, Iowa,
and Julene in Zimmerman, Minnesota. This is their first book, which is also in
eBook format at Amazon.
