Shirle
Klein-Carsh, author of 'Permutation,' departs
from the February 2018 Star Beacon

A remarkable and very sincere lady who contributed much to ufology and
the art world, Shirle Klein-Carsh, passed away in Vancouver, B.C.,
Canada, on Dec. 7, 2017. She was 94 years old.
Her friend, Aileen
Garoutte, who founded (with her husband, Dan Edwards) the UFO Contact
Center International several decades ago, forwarded The Star Beacon
the following email from Derrick Whiteskycloud, on Dec. 8:
"It is with great sadness
that I have lost another good friend, Shirle Klein-Carsh, at the young
age of 94. I worked with her on her UFO abductions, as well as mine.
"She had the ability to
stop time by snapping her fingers. I stand attested to her gift when I
was asked to come to her UFO conference many years ago in Cloverdale,
B.C. I was sitting in the second row, watching her presentation for
about 10 minutes. We never met earlier yet. It was my first time to see
her there.
"As I was listening to
her story regarding the UFO folks teaching her their skills and I
watched a few folks around laugh at her, thinking it was a joke, I
didn't know what to make of it ... until I started to hear the sound of
bees humming, like if you were standing next to a beehive.
"As I looked around,
everyone was in a suspended animation all around me, like time stood.
Then Shirle looked at me and asked out loud, 'Are you Derrick
Whiteskycloud?' I replied yes. She asked me to stay and see her after
the conference. 'We need to chat ... you're the only one that was on the
starships."
"The star people told her
to spend some time with (me) about her experiences with them.
"I can only say wow! Then
she reached out her arm and snapped her fingers, and everyone started to
move again.
"She was for real. I
spent a lot of time with her, to learn about her adventures with the
star people. They were from the area near Venus. More to talk about
after, folks, on my radio show this Tuesday night on LNM RADIO NETWORK."
I was floored when I read
Mr. Whiteskycloud's email, and sorry that I had not succeeded at going
to visit my friend Shirle up in British Columbia a few years ago, when I
lived just across the Straits in Forks, Wash. She and her husband Fred
had moved into an assisted living arrangement not long ago.
I met Shirle at the Rocky
Mountain UFO Conference in Laramie, Wyo., in summer of 1988. She was
introduced to me by the director of UFOCCI, Aileen Edwards, and when
Shirle found out I was a writer, she asked me if I'd be interested in
writing her story. I told her yes, of course.
A few months later, in
the fall, I got a phone call from Shirle after I came home from work,
after picking up my toddler son Scotty. I was living with my husband
Jeff and three small sons in Delta, Colo., at the time.
She told me, "Listen,
dear, I'm coming to see you." She told me on the phone she had made
arrangements to fly to Arizona, to visit a friend there, and wanted to
stop in Delta to have me interview her for "our" book.
That was the beginning of
Permutation, A True UFO Story, a remarkable story about
Shirle Klein-Carsh's unusual life, and her contact with star people, and
particularly with one called Frank, whom she met at a second-hand store
on Fourth Avenue in Vancouver in 1971. She was in contact with Frank, an
undercover ET from Sirius, for two years.
She learned a lot from Frank, who amazed his employer (and Shirle) with
the amazing technology he performed, fixing electronic devices for the
shop. She became more involved in UFOs and spirituality at that point,
although she'd had many unusual experiences earlier in her life. She had
lost her first husband, Hymie Klein, quite suddenly and was left with
her two children. As if he had known what was ahead, Hymie had convinced
Shirle to go to college and get her degree. She became an artist and her
paintings, which are abstract and "ahead of their time," have been shown
around the world.
Meanwhile, she had so many different experiences, many of them
paranormal, and she lived a short time in Australia with her second
husband, Arne. She is survived by her husband, Fred Carsh, and a son and
a daughter in Canada.
Her fascinating life story was reprinted in 2013 by Earth Star
Publications as she had sold out the first printing in 1994. I highly
recommend getting a copy of Permutation, A True UFO Story,, and reading
about Shirle, who made a big impression on my life as well as many
people.
What follows is the first chapter of her book. But before I close, I
have to mention that a few days after I received Aileen's email from
Derrick Whiteskycloud, I received a short email directly from Shirle's
daughter, Sharon Klein, who wanted to inform me that her mother had
passed on Dec. 7 and she added that her mother "was very ready to cross
over and looking forward to all the wonders she knew would be there
waiting for her."
The moment I read that, I felt someone very gently touch my left
shoulder. I had a strong feeling that it was Shirle offering a
comforting gesture, and this was confirmed just recently by my intuitive
reader from Arizona.
She was a great artist, a great teacher, a great communicator, a true
star person and so beloved by her friends and family. We will never
forget her. Thank you, Shirle, for all you've done and accomplished, and
the many lives you've changed.
