Sometimes I wonder if it's just because I'm older and might be old-fashioned.

Today’s world appears to be increasingly chaotic and dangerous. It’s hard for me to comprehend how some people think and act, how events occur that used to be punishable but now are deemed "commendable" as long as you are on the right side of the elite mindset.

As The Star Beacon enters its 34th year in print, I look back and see how much simpler life was in 1987. The UFO phenomenon was budding and people were just beginning to open up to the possibility of extraterrestrial life and visitation — even exploitation — of our planet. There has been a wealth of knowledge and discovery and disclosure since then. It’s unbelievable for me to think that I have spent more than half my entire life as Star Beacon editor and publisher. What is more remarkable is that the newsletter has stayed in print after all these years.

I’ve made it a policy not to bring bipartisan politics into my opinion pieces. I won’t do that now either, but I feel strongly that I need to speak up about how wrong all of this feels right now. I’m talking about society and trends with respect to people wanting to control other people and what they think and how they act. This used to be a country where free thought was encouraged. Why, all of a sudden, are we forced to comply with "correct" thinking and told what is and what is not acceptable to believe or to practice?

The pendulum swings through time. Sixty years ago there was racism in America and other places. Eventually, through the ensuing years, that pendulum of attitudes began to slow. About 20 years ago, we were in a place where the racism of the mid 20th century had waned considerably ... at least in my observation as an American worker and citizen who has lived most her life in small towns.

But then the pendulum began swinging again, this time in the opposite direction, and once again we find ourselves immersed in division the likes of which this country has never seen.

Now the problems no longer stem from just being a soul in a body with a different skin color or body structure. Now our gender comes into question. It’s no longer kosher to accept the sex you were born with. You get to deny your God-given gift of being either a male or a female and dictate to other people what you prefer to be, and if they don’t comply, there are laws to penalize them! And what I see as worse is how these wayward ideas are being forced upon our children, even those still in infancy. What is this? Why is this happening?

It appears also that those in authority — teachers, community leaders, rulers in government — are now afraid to challenge the very fundamental structures of our society that have been in place for millennia. These people appear to be intimidated by anyone who accuses them of not changing to something that

I view as not only ridiculous, but fanatical — and in some cases downright dangerous to the liberty of us all.

Of course, I admit—there have been times in our history when we’ve had to change some ideas of unfairness which hurt certain groups of people. From what I can see, most people agreed with common sense and were willing to work to "fix" our broken society.

But now? What the hey! Our world is falling apart. People are so divided, so hateful, so deranged. Who is controlling all of this? Why is it happening? If there ever was such a thing as Armageddon, then we are on the very edge. Unless we start turning it around and dissolving our differences, start loving and forgiving each other instead of wanting to tear out each other’s throats ... how can we as a species of Homo sapiens survive?

The truth shall set us free. That has always been a mantra for those of us who are ufologists and light workers. The war against truth is evident in our mainstream media these days. Hate and vengeance have overtaken our society, and unless we can turn it around, we are not going to make it.

If you are truly a light worker and you love this planet as I do, you will know in your heart what the truth is without having to rely on false prophets found on the evening news, or fascist protesters who say they are the opposite of what they actually are. Love and Light have never been more needed than they are now!

I beg you, if you love Planet Earth and our great nation ... do your part! Do not let hatred and fear consume you in these difficult days. Open your heart and forgive ... meditate, pray, thank God for your many blessings, and be sure to also include kind thoughts for those who are trying to hurt us the most.

I’m told that it will make a difference. We are the ones who will save us.
